Our Story
Working as pelvic floor physiotherapists, we often hear
“I wish I had known this earlier“, “Why didn’t anyone tell me about this?“
Everyday we have the opportunity to work with women who wish they had been told that there are things they can do during pregnancy, birth and postpartum that makes their recovery & transition to motherhood easier on their core and pelvic floor.
For example, did you know that perineal massage can reduce the chance of episiotomy during vaginal birth or that there really is a right and a wrong way to kegel and that leaking is NOT a normal part of being a mother?
These are just some of the examples we hear from women everyday in our physiotherapy practice.
With the realization that some women were struggling to find reliable sources of information about the pelvic floor, and how to prepare for and recover from birth, we were inspired to create an online community that offered resources to women and their birthing partners from a pelvic health perspective.
We hope that you find this website and the education that it offers helpful. We are excited to grow this space, offer invaluable resources and we look forward to connecting with our online community.
Warmest regards,
Eryn & Katie
